Conquering Back Pain At Work
It’s almost noon and you notice that you are starting to slouch. You’ve gotten a lot done in the morning, and notice that your back is starting to become sore. Every time you move your back, you have pain. If this sounds like you, then you might want to read the few ways you can conquer back pain at work below.
Keep Your Head Up
Align your head and neck right above your shoulders, without slouching forward or straining. This will allow your back to also remain straight.
Choose The Right Chair
Ensure that your chair has the proper back support. Press your lower back against your chair and create a slight arch to prevent yourself from slumping forward, and putting stress on your lower back and lumbar discs.
Ensure that the items you use the most are within arms reach. You should be an arm’s length away from your monitor, and be able to reach your mouse with minimal effort.
Keep Your Feet Flat
Keep your feet grounded and shoulder width apart. This can help you avoid knee or ankle issues as well.
Don’t Cross Your Legs
This makes it difficult for your spine to stay straight. This can also interrupt your blood flow.
Get Some Rest
Try a different mattress in your home to see how you rest. If you find that you do not have back pain the next day, it might be time for a new mattress. Also, consider sleeping in a different position than you normally do.
Try Natural Supplements
There are a few natural supplements that may be beneficial. You can try and use Glucosamine and Chondroitin for chronic back pain.
Drink More Milk
Milk is rich in Vitamin D. Back aches are a common symptom of a Vitamin D deficiency and just 15 grams can help make a difference.
