How to Get the Best Finds at Craft Fairs
Craft fairs are great for looking for new home décor, or if you need a gift for someone. It’s also a great way to support the local economy. While they do come in all different shapes and specialties, there are a few things you can do ahead of time to ensure that you make the most of your time spent at a craft fair. Here are a few suggestions.
Find the Craft Fair on Facebook
Even if the craft fair is small, there’s a chance that they still have a Facebook event for it. You’ll most likely be able to find a list of vendors on their event listing or on the event’s website. You can then do a quick Google search on the vendor to see what they offer, and if they have a store on a site like Etsy.
Find a Map
If it’s a larger craft fair with its own website, you may be able to find a map with a vendor listing. Print a copy of this map and circle at least five vendors you’d like to visit. Then, you’ll be able to memorize their location and save time once you arrive.
Follow Your Favorite Vendors on Social Media
Your favorite vendor may also feature some work from other vendors that are friends. Chances are, they might have something you’re interested in. This is also the best way to find out about craft fairs you’ve never been to before.
BYOB (Bring Your Own Bags)
Be prepared for whatever the craft fair throws at you. Bring some extra bags with you and leave them in the car. If you find other vendors that you’re interested in, you won’t have to miss out on what they have to offer.
