Ways to Create A Unique Summer Office Party

Office parties: they can either be a lot of fun or they can be awkward. If you find yourself in the latter of situations, perhaps there are a few things you can think about. Below is a list of some things you can do this summer to throw a unique office party.

Develop A Theme

Every good party has some type of theme. Talk with your co-workers about what theme they would be interested in. Chances are, it will probably revolve around a Hawaiian luau or a beach theme. You could also do an American themed party and have each guest bring a red, white or blue dish to share.

Infused Water Station

Water can be boring. Add some flavor to it by creating an “infused water station.” Set up a table with cut up lemons, limes, cucumbers, pears, and apples. This is a great way to cater to those at your office party that might not drink soda.

Enjoy Some Fresh Air

Consider holding your summer party at an outdoor facility with a variety of activities. Look for a place that has volleyball courts, swimming pool, and baseball fields. This will allow your employees to get active, no matter what sports they are interested in.

Create Interesting Goody Bags

Remember when you were a kid and got a goody bag from every party? Consider doing one for your office party this year. Fill it with items that could be handy for any other summer excursions like flip-flops, towels, and sunscreen.

Consider A Summer Fun Day

With summer being a time to enjoy the nice weather, consider taking a half day away from the office on a Friday to enjoy something that visitors get to enjoy in your local area. Whether it be a beach, a lake, or a popular tourist attraction, this can be a great way to bond with your team.
